[Webinar] Platinum Circle – State of Water in Australia (27th October 2022, Thu, SGT 430pm ~530pm)
Dear SWA Members & Partners,
Co-hosted with Platinum Circle, Singapore Water Association is pleased to bring to you this insightful webinar “State of Water in Australia” at your comfortable behind the computer.
Australia is home to some of the world’s cleanest and purest drinking water. As the driest continent inhabited by humans with very limited freshwater sources, the water situation is under threat due to the impact of climate change, unreliability of rainfall, forest fires, demands of agriculture, and increasing challenges of supplying fast-growing cities and isolated rural communities. Papers from the Commonwealth of Australia illustrate efforts to increase regular water supply even during droughts through extracting groundwater and seawater desalination, support the advancement of water infrastructure proposals across northern Australia, including dams and groundwater projects via the Water Project Development Fund, and address the impacts of coal mining and coal seam gas production on the quantity and quality of water in aquifers that are used for domestic and agricultural purposes.
Join us in this webinar, as our panel of experts from DeltaPearl Partners and the Australian Government would be sharing their insight into the state of water in Australia including real-time challenges and opportunities for Singapore water players.
