Technical Site Visit to BEWG-UESH NEWater Plant

30 participants attended the technical visit to BEWG-UESH Newater Plant on 14 March, organised by SWA.

The plant is designed to treat secondary effluent from Changi Water Reclamation Plant (CWRP) and to dispatch NEWater at all flows between the Minimum Design Capacity and the Warranted Capacity to the NEWater Distribution System. This is achieved by using the following treatment processes operated in series; Microfiltration (MF); Reverse Osmosis (RO); Ultraviolet (UV) light disinfection; Chloramination and post conditioning which the participants got to visit and understand.
