[SWA Industrial Water Series] Breakfast Talk with Kimberly-Clark : The Water Loop – Towards Water Stewardship and Security


To explore water opportunities in industrial projects, Singapore Water Association is pleased to host The Breakfast Talk with Kimberly-Clark : on 29th July 2021, Thursday at 9am – 10am SGT.

Global Program Leader of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Mr Vetrivel Dhagumudi, will share on The Water Loop – Towards Water Stewardship and Security.

Mr Vetrivel Dhagumudi manages the enterprise-wide water reduction goals, which has eliminated more than 13 billion gallons of freshwater usage to date, and has developed WaterLoupe, an interactive water management tool along with Deltares, which allows users to assess water risk for an entire watershed as well as for a specific sector and sub-group, over a 30 years’ time horizon. He has also developed a model to establish context-based water targets for sites located in high water stress regions.

Mr Vetrivel Dhagumudi also provides leadership across the enterprise and serves as the central point of contact for any and all interfaces on the subject of Water & Wastewater. During his tenure, he led the organization to formulate long-term sustainability goals for Water & Solid Waste Management and high-level strategy execution to support them.  Mr Vetrivel Dhagumudi has a Master’s degree in Environmental Resource Engineering and has also written and published papers on water reuse for industrial applications at various conferences.

This session will be moderated by SWA Council Member, Mr Kunal Shah, who is also the Managing Director of Anaergia Inc, , an integrated solution provider for organic waste management that maximizes resource recovery from wastewater, solid waste and agricultural waste. He has over 12 years of experience in the water sector mostly in Asia, Middle East and Europe. Mr Kunal has a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, and is actively engaged in a number of professional activities, such as serving as Chair of Young Water Professionals Committee and Sustainability Task Force of the Singapore Water Association. He is also an Advisory Council member of Imagine H2O Asia, as well as Global Advisory Council of Global Water Impact Fund (GWIF).
