26th Water Industry Nite

The 26th Singapore Water Industry Nite cum SWA Chinese New Year Celebration hosted by the Singapore Water Association was held on 19 February 2016 at the WaterHub. The event was attended by over 120 members and invited guests. Mr Tay Lim Heng announced that he would step down as SWA President due to his current work commitment. His successor, Mr Tan Cheng Guan, Executive Vice- President and Head of Business Development of Sembcorp Industries Ltd, will continue to lead SWA in our mission to develop a vibrant and dynamic Singapore Water Industry.

SWA Executive Director, Mr Tan Kok Tian, updated that the recently formed SWA Young Professional Subcommittee (YPS) will be organising networking sessions and activities to connect to the young water professionals of SWA members. The mission of the YPS is to support and promote the attraction, development and retention of young water professionals as well as to profile the water sector as a growing and leading industry. The programme continued with a sharing session on “Managing the Water Distribution Network with a Smart Water Grid” and an announcement on new and upcoming projects by PUB, Singapore. The event ended with a Lo-Hei session and dinner buffet.
